English Premier League side, Liverpool, have confirmed the signing of Guinean youngster Naby Keita, 22.
The player will, however, join the Anfield side on July 1, 2018. He is currently with German Bundesliga side, Leipzig.
Sources have quoted the deal as being the most expensive in the club’s history. The Reds agreed to pay Naby’s £48m which will surpass the £35m they paid Newcastle United for Andy Carroll.
Keita, a Guinea international, joined the German side from Red Bull Salzburg last year and scored eight goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances last term to help them to a second-place finish.

“I am delighted that an agreement has been reached which will allow me to join Liverpool Football Club next summer, when I will become part of a project that excites me greatly,” he told the club website.
He will join a growing African contingent at the club. Sadio Mane (Senegal), Mohammed Salah (Egypt) and Joel Matip (Cameroon) are some of the Africans with the club currently.
