At least thirty trucks loaded with commodities are stuck along the Juba-Bor road, after heavy rain made the route impassable.
The trucks have been parked for the past five days causing shortages of food and essential items in Bor markets.
The inspector of Marol Market in Bor, Mabior Kuol Ajok told Radio Miraya that disruptions has prompted traders to hike the prices of their remaining stock.
A fifty-kilogram bag of sugar costs more than 7,000 SSP while half a kilo of beans goes for 200 SSP.
