29 June 2018: In Banki town, Borno state, Boko Haram attacked an IDP camp and killed four IDPs before being engaged in an hour-long fighting with soldiers. Source: ACLED

09 June 2018: In the Sool region, near Garaclagudhal village, a group of unidentified armed men entered an IDP camp partially run by CARE and ICRC staff and shot two female INGO staff members before fleeing the scene. Both victims sustained injuries but survived. Source:

01 June 2018: In Malakal county, Eastern Nile state, hundreds of students living in the UN Protection of Civilians site held a peaceful demonstration over the non-payment of the camp resident teachers’ salaries. Source: Radio Tamazuj 03 June 2018: In Juba town, Central Equatoria region, men in uniform suspected to be soldiers killed an IDP near a UN Protection of Civilians site. Witnesses claim the perpetrators shot the victim dead while he was playing football and subsequently robbed him. Source: ACLED

20 June 2018: In Cape Town, Western Cape region, refugees marched outside Parliament on International Refugee Day to demand legal recognition of their status in South Africa. Source: ACLED

19 June 2018: In Zallingi area, Central Darfur state, the local leader of the Nertiti refugee camp was murdered at his home when unidentified gunmen broke in and shot him five times. Source: ACLED

17 June 2018: In Arua town and district, West Nile sub-region, Northern region, South Sudanese youths from Rhino refugee camp clashed over a World Cup football match. Three were killed the day after, and a fourth victim succumbed to his wounds on 20 June. Source: Eye Radio

18 June 2018: In Nhilla union, Teknaf upazila, Cox’s Bazar district, Chittagong division, two Rohingya rival groups clashed with sharp weapons at the Nayapara refugee camp, wounding at least 10 people. Source: BD News 24 18 June 2018: In Ukhiya upazila, Cox’s Bazar district, Chittagong division, a group of unidentified assailants hacked a Rohingya man to death at Balukhali-11, Palong Khali refugee camp. 01 June 2018: In Taunggok township, Rakhine state, Myanmar authorities arrested a Muslim volunteer teacher from Kyauktalone internally displaced people (IDP) camp for travelling without permission, as she did not have a government-issued National Verification Card. Source: Myanmar Times 14 June 2018: In a letter dated 21 May 2018, the Myanmar Army threatened to take legal action against members of the Kachin Baptist Convention (KBC) if they continued to deliver humanitarian aid and meet IDPs in rebel-controlled areas near the Chinese border. 26 June 2018: In Tyre city and district, South governorate, a coalition of Palestinian refugees, popular committees, factions and students staged a sit-in in front of the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to protest the agency’s policy of shutting down schools, warning of a public upset that could have serious consequences in the camps. 10 June 2018: In Tulkarm governorate, Israeli soldiers opened fire at a vehicle accelerating towards them at the Nur Shams refugee camp, causing no casualties. The driver and passengers of the car were arrested and taken in for questioning. Source: Y Net News 13 June 2018: In the West Bank, seven Palestinian IDPs were injured by Israeli gunfire after the IDF opened fire in Al Amari refugee camp. Source: ACLED 22 June 2018: In the West Bank, a protest at Dheishe IDP camp led to the IDF shooting one demonstrator 3 times in the chest with rubber bullets. Source: ACLED 26 June 2018: In Nablus area, West Bank, the IDF raided Balata refugee camp and arrested 7 IDPs after a clash between Palestinians and Israeli forces at the nearby Tomb of Joseph which had left 50 Palestinians injured by IDF weaponry.
