[AL JAZEERA] – South Sudan president signs peace deal with rebel leader

Warring factions in South Sudan have signed what is being called a final peace deal after months of negotiations and the leaders will form a transitional government within eight months.

President Salva Kiir will have rival Riek Machar as deputy again as well as four other vice presidents.

Al Jazeera’s Catherine Soi reports from Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa, where the deal was signed.
