Central Darfur begins to plan voluntary return villages: minister

April 6, 2018 (KHARTOUM) – The government of Central Darfur State has embarked on planning the villages of the voluntary return, said the state’s Minister of Urban Planning Muddather Adam
He told the semi-official Sudan Media Center (SMC) that every village would be fully planned, saying the government has earmarked 2 billion Sudanese pounds to meet the needs of the voluntary return villages.

Fresh clashes erupt between Sudan army, SLM-AW in Jebel Marra

March 23, 2018 (KHARTOUM) A new round of clashes has erupted between the Sudanese army and the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM-AW) led by Abdel-Wahid al-Nur in Jebel Marra area.

Sudan to demobilize 6500 former combatants in 2018

March 14, 2018 (KHARTOUM) – Sudan Disarmament, Demobilization and. Reintegration Commission (SDDRC) Wednesday said it plans to demobilize 6500 ex-combatants from the various former rebel groups in the country.

January 7, 2018 (ZALINGEI) – The Sudanese security service arrested six internally displaced people in Nertiti camp 100 km east of the Central Darfur state capital Zalingei, an IDPs representative said on Sunday.
