Sudan to deliver humanitarian aid to rebel-held areas in S. Kordofan: official

April 15, 2018 (KHARTOUM) – Sudan’s Presidential Assistant Faisal Hassan Ibrahim announced his government would implement a roadmap programme to deliver humanitarian aid to rebel-held areas in South Kordofan.
On Saturday, Ibrahim received the recommendations of the first youth conference on peace and development in South Kordofan.

Red Cross to resume humanitarian activities in South Kordofan

September 13, 2017 (KHARTOUM) – A delegation from the International Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC) has arrived in Kadugli, South Kordofan capital to discuss the resumption of the organisation’s activity in the region.
In February 2014, the Sudanese government ordered the ICRC to halt its activities in the country saying that the aid organisation needs to comply with the humanitarian work guidelines and the voluntary work law in order to continue operating in the country.

SLM-MM says they clashed with government forces in West Kordofan

September 12, 2017 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudan Liberation Movement-Minni Minnawi (SLM-MM) Tuesday said they clashed with the Sudanese government militia of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in West Kordofan state.

Sudan calls on SPLM-N to open safe corridors in South Kordofan
