Britain summons Sudanese ambassador over state of emergency

Chris Trott appointed UK Ambassador to South Sudan

February 20, 2019 (JUBA) -The United Kingdom Special Envoy to Sudan and South Sudan Christopher (Chris) Trott has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan.
Trott will succeed to Ms Alison Blackburne who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment, said the Foreign Office in a statement released on Tuesday.
According to the statement, Trott will take office in May 2019

Sudan, UK discuss development assistance

December 4, 2018 (KHARTOUM) - Sudan's Foreign Minister El-Dirdeiry Ahmed and the United Kingdom's Permanent Secretary at the Department for International Development (DFID) Matthew Rycroft have discussed the British development aid provided to Sudan.

British diplomat welcomes Sudan’s decision to overturn Noura’s death sentence

June 28, 2018 (KHARTOUM) - British Ambassador to Sudan Irfan Siddiq Thursday welcomed a decision by an appeal court in Khartoum to commute a death penalty sentence against a young woman convicted of killing her husband in self-defence.
