Security forces both Uganda Police and UPDF have heavily deployed at Nyumanzi Refugee settlement in Dzaipi Sub County, Adjumani district after a deadly clashes between Madi and South Sudanese refugees earlier today.

The fight that broke out yesterday left at least two people dead and several hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the scuffle.

All businesses have closed as people escaped for their lives. Security forces fired teargas and live bullets to calm the situation.

However what sparked the scuffle remained undisclosed as the LCIII chairperson Dzaipi Sub County Mr. Derimo Clay who heads the Sub County’s security committee directed the DPC Mr. Ahmed Hasunira not to speak to our journalist.
