Fight over “used condom” leaves dozen youth wounded in Kakuma Refugee Camp

At least a dozen youth were left wounded after a communal fight ensued between two South Sudanese clans in a refugee camp in Kenya.

According to reports, a fight
erupted yesterday between Pakeer, Hol Ajang and Anok Pakeer clans in Kakuma
Refugee Camp.

According to a witness, Garang
Bul, the fight erupted after a young man with used condoms was caught pant down
with a lady.

“This fight started after a man
was found him a closed with a lady and they were using condom. The girl’s
brother found them and the used condoms…and in our culture it’s disrespectful
to sleep with someone’s daughter and you use a condom

According to sources in the camp, the Kenyan police arrested over 40 youth
and those injuried are admitted at Kakuma IRC main hospital
