IGAD foreign ministers discuss implementation of Khartoum agreement

The IGAD foreign ministers are meeting in Khartoum to discuss the implementation matrix for the South Sudan peace talks.

All the foreign affairs ministers of IGAD already arrived in Khartoum on Thursday.

According to the spokesperson of the ministry of foreign affairs of Sudan, this meeting will focus and ensure that South Sudan peace agreement is supported by the all IGAD countries.

Ambassador Gariballah Khedir said the main agenda is the timeline for the implementation of matrix for the peace agreement.

“They will ensure support for this agreement and discuss the timeline for the implementation of matrix for this deal,” he said.

The member States of IGAD are, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda.
