Kenya beat S. Sudan’s U-17 team

The U-17 national team lost their second game in group B of Cecafa Zonal qualification for Africa nation’s cup to Kenya’s U-17 earlier on Tuesday.

The young Bright Stars started on a brighter note but fall behind to a 12th minute Keith Imbali goal, earning Kenya the lead and heading into the break 1-0 up.

Bright Stars should have got an equalizing goal after nice interplay from the right-side of the field when Thomas Chuol played in Nelson Elia but his shot went over the bar.

Young Bright Stars where bright at the start of the second half, with some beautiful display in the midfield but failed to take advantage to find the back of the net.

With Matthew Malisau scoring in the 62nd minute the control of the game shifted from the Bright Stars to the Kenyan U-17. Revlon Bungu than got on the scoresheet on 76 to increase Kenya’s lead as the Bright stars faded.

Nicholas Ochieno 90′ Penalty condemned Young Bright Stars to their first loss in the tournament where on team will represent CECAFA region in the Africa nations cup next year.

They will next play Uganda while Kenya plays Djibouti on Friday.
