MAPUTO, Mozambique (AP) — Mozambique’s electoral commission says President Filipe Nyusi has been re-elected with 74% of the vote and his Frelimo party will have 73% of seats in parliament.

The main opposition party, Renamo, has rejected the results, alleging the elections were marked by fraud and intimidation.

The electoral commission announced Sunday that Renamo candidate Ossufo Momade took 22% of the vote.

It said overall voter turnout was 51%.

In the 250-seat National Assembly, Frelimo won 184 seats, Renamo 60 seats and the MDM party six seats.

Renamo failed to win a single province in a vote where provincial governors were directly elected for the first time.
