(JUBA) – The Minister of General Education has announced schools nation wide have started their mock exams on Monday.

In Tonj State Deng Madut Deng, the minister in-charge was quoted as saying the exams began with Christian Religious Education in all centres (35 schools)

Madut says the importance of giving pupils the exams is to test their ability on what they have learnt in the past eight years.

The minister mentions logistical challenges to reach to other counties with the exams papers in the state.

He warned against exams malpractices among the pupils.

A pupil of Don Bosco Primary School, Awut Manyang, says the paper they sat for was fair and she is hopeful of passing the subject.

She advises her colleagues to study hard in order to pass well the other subjects.
