People have access to mobile phones than toilets in South Sudan

A new report from ministry of public health,revealed that more people have access to mobile phones than toilets in Juba South Sudan.

In a recent rally of Cholera awareness by the ministry, addressing the public about the dangers of the disease, “said 82% of people in South Sudan have cell phones, while only 18% of the citizens have access to improved sanitation in the country “

According to the research conducted, only 39 per cent South Sudanese uses an improved toilet that is not shared by more than one household and 10 thousand people still practice open defecation in South Sudan, with 32 percent living in rural areas and 12 percent in urban areas.
