- In May, WASH completed medical waste management system (construction of incinerators and waste pits) at two Primary Health Care Center (Kaya and Morobo PHCC).
In May, WASH maintained the 14 PoE shelters with WASH facilities (temporary latrines and mobile handwashing stands) and IPC setup.
During the reporting period, Bori PoE was established and operationalized in Kajo keji county, Yei River State. Currently, IOM is operating 14 active PoE EVD screening sites.
DTM published a dedicated long-term EVD Flow Monitoring report covering trends in arrivals from Uganda, DRC and CAR between January and April 2019. This complements the four monthly dashboards published in the past reporting periods for January, February, March and April.

In May, another PoE was operationalized in Bori located in Kajo keji county, Yei River State making the total of active IOM-supported PoE screening sites to 14. During the reporting period, there was an increase of 38.41% in the number of individuals screened compared to previous month. A total of 230 travelers were recorded to have non-EVD fever cases and all were referred to the nearest health facility for further assessment and follow up.Since the start of EVD preparedness activities in September 2018, IOM has screened 390,497 inbound travelers to South Sudan for EVD exposure symptoms in the 14 active PoE screening sites. No alert cases were reported so far.
